“Today at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11), a member of the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, and Captain “Sully” Sullenberger will unveil the Safe Landings Act, comprehensive legislation inspired by the recent rise of near-misses at airports across the country—including at SFO—and the two deadly Boeing 737 Max jet crashes.
The bill would address major gaps in aviation safety, including those that contributed to these events. The event is open to the press and photographers.”
