Endeavor Delta Training Failures

DELTA CONNECTION GROUND IMPACT

On October 1, 2025, two Delta Connection Aircraft, Bombardier CRJ-900LR, operated by Endeavor Air collided at LaGuardia Airport, New York. One shortly after landing, the other while taxing for takeoff. What’s going on at Delta you ask? I know. And on January 28, 2016 I gave Captains James Graham and Steve Dickson a safety report outlining my concerns, and they paid a doctor to kill the messenger instead of focusing on the problem. Graham was then promoted to CEO of Endeavor and then this happened…

On February 17, 2025 Delta Connection hit the runway at a high rate of decent, and flipped. That plane, as in any crash of its magnitude, was burned to a shell. But the miracle was that nobody died. Delta refuses to disclose the cockpit voice recorder or even provide statements from the pilots. Why you ask? We can only surmise. But they claim it’s due to the “Canadian Investigation”. With the pilots alive, this investigation should be complete. I wrote about that accident on February 18, 2025, in Miracle in Toronto with my concerns that this was history repeating. And repeat it did!

Delta is retaliating once again to silence me, this time threatening a lawsuit.

Delta Retaliates Against a Whistleblower

In 2016 I had voiced my concerns for substandard training, and Delta paid a doctor $73,923.45 to call me crazy. I fought back and won. Yet nothing changed with training and Delta apparently patterned their operational procedures at Endeavor after Delta. Then in 2025, in response to my reporting safety concerns regarding the Endeavor crash, Delta threatened me with a lawsuit of which I explain in Delta’s Effort to Silence me, and now I am fighting back again.

Delta should not have the right to continue to retaliate simply because I retired. The law protects Whistleblowers. Yet Delta claims that protection does not continue when we retire. How many more events will occur before Delta places passenger safety above profit?

Not the First Time

On September 10, 2024 two aircraft, Delta Air Lines flight 295, an Airbus A350-941 (N503DN), and Endeavor Air flight 5526 (operating as Delta), a Mitsubishi CRJ-900 (N302PQ), collided while taxiing for departure.

The Tenerife Disaster

Do not think lives cannot be lost with planes colliding. Two 747 aircraft collided and 583 people perished, and the lives of those left behind destroyed forever. We must not allow Delta to sweep these events under the rug. Have we not learned anything since 1977? Perhaps its time someone at the FAA start looking into Delta’s operating practices before the next catastrophe.

  1. Hi Karleen,
So sad to hear this saga that goes on & on! Is there anything a non-avaitation person can do to help at all?
It is insane that an employer blacklist & target an employee! Especially when SAFETY is in the equation.
    Thanks,
    Loiuise

    • Louise, Thanks for your thoughts. I’m unsure what the public can do other than voice their concern like you did. When the airline spends more on marketing than training, then public awareness and a cry to stop may force them the other way. But… marketing is powerful. And as we knew, even an accident like Endeavor is swept under the rug. Power and money speaks volumes.
