APPROACHING THE END

The airline industry is on a dangerous trajectory and lightning is about to strike. No longer are pilots required to learn their aircraft beyond what buttons to push. Today airlines provide answers to the tests, like Delta’s Learning Objective Document, to memorize so they can pass an FAA required test. Knowledge be damned. Delta’s operational practices surprised me to such an extent, that I returned to school to earn a PhD in Aviation at ERAU to better understand what was happening in the industry. My research proved that the more training pilots received at the airline level, their performance declined. A professor asked, “What do you think they’ll do now?” Meaning the airlines and FAA alike. We learned that they did nothing to improve safety. They attacked me instead. My doctoral research is in the book Normalization of Deviance, a Threat to Aviation Safety.

Safety management systems (SMS) required airlines to reduce risk. Employees are the eyes and brains that are required to see and understand that risk. But most look the other way, or they don’t understand enough to see the problem. I understood and said something, as federal law required. Instead of creating change, or considering the many safety concerns, Delta retaliated and I filed a complaint under the Whistleblower law called AIR21. Then they engaged in a seven year war of attrition against me. Learning this law and realizing how I could educate pilots, flight attendants and mechanics to protect themselves I wrote AIR21 Delta’s Debacle, Legal Lessons Learned and Shared to Save your Career and Improve Safety.
I even wrote an entire series of novels with fact, as much much as fiction, on what transpired through pension loss, work rules changes, mergers, acquisitions, mandatory retirement, union corruption, and my battle fighting for safety through the legal process with verbatim deposition and trial testimony. All novels can be found in my bookstore. The story in these novels is true. But writing them saved my sanity.

I fought like hell for the industry, employee jobs and passenger safety during my legal battle. But nothing changed even though I emerged on the other side with a victory. Nobody wins when lives are in danger. When there is no justice, there is revenge. My most recent novel, Flight For Revenge was a fun way to therapeutically deal with the devil you know who smiles as he walks free despite breaking the law. Now I’m holding a contest with a prize of $1000 for the person who can guess the truths in this recent novel, and what backstory came from previous books. Why? A last ditch effort to create awareness.
SHIFTING WINDS
I’m also working on the final novel in the series, Flight To Devastation. This is closure to the series and a warning to everyone. What will happen when an industry allows airlines to replace pilots with AI? Today I finished the first draft and plan to have this novel released by September 11, 2026. My memoir will be released around the same time. The movie to come.

BEATING MY HEAD AGAINST A WALL
I’ve done what I can in an effort to improve safety. The problem begins when people believe AI is evolution and say we should just get over it. Those who think we should allow pilots to be replaced are perhaps a bigger problem than corrupt management. We have turned into a lazy society who doesn’t give a shit and allows those in power to play them like puppets.
Airlines have dumbed down training to a dangerous level, and the FAA is looking the other way because they are not watchdogs, but enablers. AI is becoming safer than clueless pilots compliments of our pilot unions. That was management’s intent. Yet AI will also be programmed to fly the shortest route through thunderstorms, as pilots are dispatched today. AI will break. Pilots will not know how to fly when that happens. AI can be hacked.
AIRBUS A330
The A330 is a perfect example where substandard training and pilot error meet. A Delta A330 instructor told a Captain to be the monkey, push the button and get the banana. AF447 is a perfect example of what happens if you don’t understand your plane. The stories are many, and I know multiple events at Delta where but for the grace of God there would have been a catastrophic hull loss. Therefore I wrote an A330 Study Guide. With so much on my plate, this was that last thing I wanted to do, but I believe it needed to be done.

While I cannot encourage airline management, pilot unions, or even the FAA to require airlines to improve training, what I can do is impart knowledge the best I can. This A330 study guide was written to do just that. Not only give pilots the understanding, but guidance as what to do when things go wrong, and provide a better understanding when the FCOM becomes confusing. Techniques I learned from the best.
This is not an all inclusive manual. This is not a rewrite of the FCOM. This is a supplement to assist in areas that I know to be problematic in both training and on the flight line. I also give thanks to Captain Bill Palmer, author of the Understanding AF447 for his effort and assistance ensuring the book was accurate.

LAW SCHOOL
I’m starting Law School on February 15, 2026 and I will be prepared to stand in court to defend the families of those who have lost loved ones on an airplane because of airline management, the FAA, and pilot unions. A message to management, the FAA, and corrupt union officials, “I disagree with profit over life. I loath corruption and intent to harm. I will meet you in court and when I do, you will not walk away with protection hiding behind the skirts of the corporation as you do now. You will be exposed. You will be held accountable. Yes. Times will change in the legal arena too.”
HELP NEEDED
My goal is to educated every employee on AIR21 law so they will be able to stand up to their company. I’m asking for your help to share the book AIR21 Delta’s Debacle, Legal Lessons Learned and Shared to Save your Career and Improve Safety.
Please purchase a Pack of 5 here to gift to your favorite airline employee, or a Pack of 10 here or pack of 20 here, if you have many friends. If you feel the need to support on a larger level, I have a Pack of 25 here. Huge thanks to one of the pilots and flight attendants I have helped, who purchased the pack of 25!
