Employees have known toxic fumes have been ongoing for years yet nobody has done anything. Many passengers who experience it do not realize what’s happened. This has been kept a secret from the public despite death, and those who have vocalized the problem have been deemed mentally ill for speaking out. But finally on September 15, 2025 the media has reported the problem as exampled by: “CBS NEWS: 3 Incidents of Smoke or Fumes a Day.”
This issue is not new. I now wonder how many thousands of people have experienced the results and don’t even know where they came from. Unfortunately, regulatory authorities worldwide, airline manufacturers and airlines all had knowledge this was ongoing, and looked the other way because of profitability.
In 2012 British Airways pilot Richard Westgate died as the result of toxic fumes. I wrote about this in 2015. Yet this event was swept under the rug.

April 11, 2018 I wrote “Dirty Socks in the Flight Deck”: WARNING! Accident: Spirit A319 at Boston on Jul 17th 2015, fumes on board, captain died 50 days later. Did anything happen? No. Once again it was swept under the rug.
Mental Health Attack
On the 30 March 2022 Avon and Somerset Police attempted to detain pilot Leonard Lawrence, under the Mental Health Act, using a Mental Health Nurse who alleged that he was seriously mentally ill when he tried to explain.
The objective was to silence him. This is what was written in his medical report:

a) This man appears to be suffering from a long held set of delusionary beliefs related to his beliefs related perceived suffering from organophosphate poisoning.
b) During assessment he appeared to be suffering from some pressure of speech flight of ideas, grandiose beliefs and a fixation on a court of protection matter that is a little understand or linked to a logical reality based framework
